Perth Scorchers merged their best position with their fourth success on the bob, against Melbourne Rebels, who coincidentally drooped to their fourth consecutive loss, at the Docklands Arena in Melbourne in the New Year's conflict.

Josh Inglish (47) and Cameron Bancroft (46) got Perth over the line in the last over of the 156-run pursue that was set up by Faf du Plessis' 29-ball 39 at the top.
