Chris Read named as new head coach of Thunder

Chris Read, the former Nottinghamshire and England wicketkeeper, has been appointed as the new head coach of Thunder, and will take over from Paul Shaw who stepped down at the end of the 2023 campaign after four seasons in charge.

Peruse, who played 15 Tests somewhere in the range of 1999 and 2007 and addressed Britain in every one of the three organizations, has since filled in as right hand mentor with Trent Rockets in the ladies' Hundred and Hobart Storms in the WBBL, as well as wicketkeeping consultancy work with the ECB, incorporating a spell with Britain men's Under-19s crew.
