Clean Sweep in Sight: Floyd Reifer urges West Indies to maintain focus ahead of series finale

Warning Against Complacency: West Indies batting coach Floyd Reifer has urged his team to stay grounded and avoid complacency ahead of the series-deciding second Test against Bangladesh in Sylhet.

Starting Fresh: Emphasizing that every match begins from zero, Reifer stressed that despite their dominant eight-wicket win in the first Test in Dhaka, the players must replicate their disciplined processes from scratch.

Reifer added that the understanding between his two openers, John Campbell and Brandon King, helped them build partnerships, as he felt they complemented each other very well in the middle. The duo have so far put together three century partnerships and added more than 50 runs on six occasions.

“Those guys (Campbell and King) know each other's game, and that's important,” said Reifer.

“The synergy is good between them. Both of them are very attacking players, and they follow their defence as well, and they complement each other. As you saw in the last innings, when they were chasing down the 172, you could see that they fed off one another,” he said.

Closing the WTC Cycle: Holding a 1-0 lead in the two-match series, the visitors are highly motivated to secure a victory in Bangladesh and finish their ICC World Test Championship campaign on a strong note.
