The timetable of the 2022 Asia Cup has been declared with Sri Lanka taking on Afghanistan in the competition opener on Saturday, August 27 in Dubai. This will be trailed by India versus Pakistan the next day, likewise at the Dubai International Stadium.
The timetable was shared by Asian Cricket Council boss Jay Shah on Twitter.
The competition, initially to be played in Sri Lanka was moved to UAE a couple of days back following the distress in Sri Lanka. Ten out of the thirteen games including the last are set to be played in Dubai, with the rest to occur in Sharjah.
India, Pakistan and a qualifier will be in Group some time Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are in Group B. The best two groups from each gathering will additionally play in a 'Very 4' round, importance there is a high likelihood of essentially another India - Pakistan game in the subsequent round. The last is booked for September 11.
