Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami not part of T20 Challenge 2022 squads

Veteran India cricketers Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami and Shikha Pandey are remarkable non-attendants in the crews reported by BCCI for the approaching release of the Women's T20 Challenge. The Velocity side, drove by Raj in the last version of the competition in 2020, will currently be captained by Deepti Sharma while Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur will keep on skippering the Trailblazers and Supernovas separately.

Raj and Goswami had highlighted in the 2020 version of the competition regardless of having recently resigned from T20 Internationals. Pandey, who played for Velocity in that opposition, was avoided with regards to India's home task against South Africa in March, 2021 and consequently missed the 50-over World Cup in New Zealand recently. Hard-hitting hitter Veda Krishnamurthy is one more non-attendant from the crews, that sees the consideration of Kiran Navgire who blew some people's minds with an unbeaten 162* while playing for Nagaland in the Domestic T20 contest.

The abroad player contingent for the season incorporates Aussie leg spinner Alana King. Australian cricketers had missed the 2020 season because of a planning conflict with the WBBL. Sophie Ecclestone, Sophia Dunkley-Brown, Kate Cross (England), Laura Wolvaardt, Sune Luus, Ayabonga Khaka (South Africa), Deandra Dottin, Hayley Matthews (West Indies), Salma Khatun, Sharmin Akter (Bangladesh) and Natthakan Chantham (Thailand) are the other abroad cricketers in the opposition.

The fourth cycle of the T20 Challenge will start on May 23 with a rematch of the 2020 finals between the Trailblazers and the Supernovas. Briefly time running, a group will have somewhat more than 12 hours of recuperation between games with Supernovas planned to play the night game on May 23 and the midday conflict the next day. The last will be hung on May 28. All games will be played at Pune's MCA Stadium.
