Noor Ahmad fifer lead Afghanistan to 3-0 series sweep against Zimbabwe

11 dots, 13 runs, and 5 wickets in 3.3 overs In the third and final T20I, Zimbabwe's middle order collapsed against Afghanistan's left-arm wrist spinner Noor Ahmad and fell for a meager 79. Afghanistan, who had previously won the series 2-0, made a determined effort to win it 3-0. Despite losing three wickets in the chase, Afghanistan was able to surpass Zimbabwe's low total in just 8.1 overs.

Although Noor was the star of the show, four other bowlers from Afghanistan contributed to the significant batting collapse. Azmatullah Omarzai, Fazalhaq Farooqi and Abdullah Tarakhail reduced Zimbabwe to 13/3 in the fourth over. Wesley Madhevere and Ryan Burl attempted to restart the innings, but Abdullah Omarzai snuffed out Burl in the 10th over.

After that, Noor swooped in and used devastating spin bowling to destroy the Zimbabwean lineup. In just 4.4 overs, Zimbabwe went from 56/4 to 79 all-out. He accounted for the wickets of Madhevere, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Tafadzwa Tsiga, Newman Nyamhuri and Ernest Masuku, the final one to fall.

Zimbabwe picked a couple of Powerplay wickets too, but Afghanistan coasted through to wipe out the target inside nine overs with opener Ibrahim Zadran getting 25 off 17, and Azmatullah remaining unbeaten on 18 to see the chase through.
