PAK vs NZ: New Zealand Pull Out of Pakistan Limited-Overs Tour Over "Security Alert" Just Before first ODI

New Zealand pulled out of their white-ball visit through Pakistan not long before the beginning of the principal ODI in Rawalpindi on Friday due to a "security caution" and plans are being made "for the group's flight". New Zealand Cricket (NZC) in an assertion said that the group won't proceed with the visit following an "heightening in the New Zealand Government danger levels for Pakistan". New Zealand were set to play Pakistan in a three-match ODI series followed by a five-match T20I series.

"The BLACKCAPS are forsaking their visit through Pakistan following a New Zealand government security alert. The side was to play Pakistan this evening in the first of three ODIs in Rawalpindi, prior to moving to Lahore for a five match T20 series," New Zealand Cricket said in a delivery.

"Be that as it may, following a heightening in the New Zealand Government danger levels for Pakistan, and counsel from NZC security guides on the ground, it has been chosen the BLACKCAPS won't proceed with the visit."

New Zealand Cricket CEO David White defended the somewhat late choice and said that the security of the players is central.

"I comprehend this will be a blow for the PCB, who have been brilliant hosts, yet player security is central and we accept this is the main capable choice," NZC CEO David White said.

The Pakistan Cricket Board additionally put out an assertion, saying the choice to defer the series was made "singularly".

"Recently, New Zealand Cricket educated us they had been made aware of some security caution and have singularly chosen to delay the series," PCB said in a media proclamation.

"Pakistan Cricket Board and Pakistan Government made idiot proof security courses of action for all opposing groups. We have guaranteed the New Zealand Cricket of something very similar. The Pakistan Prime Minister talked by and by to the Prime Minister of New Zealand and educated her that we have one of the most mind-blowing knowledge frameworks on the planet and that no security danger of any sort exists for the opposing group."

The security authorities with the New Zealand group have been happy with security courses of action made by the Pakistan Government all through their visit here. PCB will proceed the planned matches.
