Papua New Guinea qualify for 2024 Men's T20 World Cup

Papua New Guinea have equipped for the 2024 Men's T20 World Cup in the wake of beating Philippines by 100 runs in Port Moresby to ensure an in front of the pack finish in the East Asia-Pacific Qualifier.

Quickfire fifties from Tony Ura, Assad Vala and Charles Amini laid the stage for PNG to post a sum of 229 for 6 in their 20 overs after they were sent in to bat. Philippines just oversaw 129 for 7 in their pursuit.

PNG have won each of the five of their matches up to this point, and will end their competition with a match against Japan on Saturday.

These are has West Indies and USA, the main eight groups at the 2022 T20 World Cup - Australia, Britain, India, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa and Sri Lanka - and Afghanistan and Bangladesh, who qualified by ideals of the T20I rankings.

Aside from PNG, seven different groups will make the competition by means of local qualifiers. On Friday, Ireland and Scotland fixed their spots by completing in the main two situations in the Europe Locale Qualifier. Qualifiers for the Americas (for one spot), Africa (two spots) and Asia (two spots) will likewise happen throughout the next few months.
