Repeating back wounds have constrained veteran Pieter Seelaar to resign from worldwide cricket. The Netherlands skipper missed the second ODI against England with injury with Scott Edwards driving the side in his nonappearance.
"Starting around 2020 my back issues deteriorated so much that - unfortunately - I am as of now not ready to give all that I have," Seelaar was cited as saying in a proclamation by the KNCB.
The opening ODI of the series on Friday (June 17) was the remainder of Seelaar's 134 worldwide appearances (57 ODIs, 77 T20Is). The 34-year-old made his Dutch presentation in July 2006 against Sri Lanka. He made his T20 bow two years after the fact against Kenya at Belfast and was an individual from the Netharlands side that beat England at Lord's in the T20 World Cup of 2009 and afterward again in the 2014 T20 World Cup.
On the whole, Seelaar gets done with 115 wickets and 938 in worldwide cricket. He guaranteed four wicket pulls in both ODIs and T20I and got done with a best score of 96* against Scotland in Malahide.
"Pieter's feedback has been extremely valuable, first as a player and later likewise as chief.
