Rashid Khan appointed Afghanistan T20I captain

Rashid Khan has been named commander of the Afghanistan T20I group, supplanting Mohammad Nabi who ventured down following Afghanistan's mission in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.

Mirwais Ashraf, administrator of the Afghanistan cricket board, proposed Rashid to assume control over the job, with the legspinner having prior driven the country in seven T20Is in 2019. Rashid had additionally driven Afghanistan in seven ODIs in 2018-19 and furthermore two Tests in 2019.
