Rossouw, Banton lead Somerset to record win

Somerset fixed their spot in the elimination rounds with a record win subsequent to defeating Derbyshire by an astounding 191 runs. Somerset indented up the most elevated score in the opposition's set of experiences with 265 and the 191-run win was the greatest triumph edge as well.

Rilee Rossouw came out all firearms bursting, enduring a 36-ball 93. Along with Tom Banton, who assumed a supporting role to Rossouw while scoring his own fifty (73 pff 41), the pair heaped on the runs in a 102-run stand that came in speedy time. Rossouw couldn't get his 100 years, yet his thump was surprisingly disastrous, studded with seven sixes and eight fours, while Banton had six sixes and four limits.

The genuine stimulus however fell off the bat of Tom Lammonby, who with three sixes and as a large number for a 9-ball 31 late in the innings, assisted Somerset with wrapping up with 265 on the board. While George Scrimshaw was the pick of the bowlers, yielding only 16 in his four, the others spilled runs; Mattie McKiernan went for 82 off four overs.

Derbyshire's pursuit went to pieces early when they lost Harry Came in the opening over. Customary wickets from there on and slipping to 43/5 in the seventh over in a gigantic pursue didn't help. Little opposition came from there on as they were bowled out for only 74 in 11.2 overs. Peter Siddle returned 3-10, while Ben Green had 3-17 with Somerset cruising to the elimination round where they will take on Hampshire.
