Shakib Al Hasan rejoins Bangladesh World Cup contingent in Kolkata

Shakib Al Hasan returned to Bangladesh's World Cup camp in Kolkata on Thursday evening, cutting short his three-day Dhaka trip to two days. Shakib had gone to Dhaka on October 25 to have a nets session with his childhood mentor Nazmul Abedeen Fahim. Bangladesh prepared at Eden Nurseries on Wednesday under lights, without Shakib obviously, who had taken the night departure from Dhaka. He arrived at the group inn around 8.45pm where the group administrator Rabeed Imam got him. Mentor Chandika Hathurusinghe, on out to supper, additionally met Shakib at the gathering. As per the group the executives, Shakib didn't let them know that he was getting back for cricketing reasons. Shakib arrived at Dhaka on Wednesday morning, going directly to the Shere Bangla Public Arena nets where Fahim met him. Shakib batted under his supervision for three hours. Shakib has battled with the bat at this World Cup, having scored only 56 runs in four innings. He has taken six wickets up to this point. Bangladesh have an early evening time instructional course in Kolkata on October 27, with the match against Netherlands on the next day.
