Two cases of Omicron found in Bangladesh women's team

Zahid Maleque, Bangladesh wellbeing and family government assistance serve, said on Saturday that the two ladies cricketers who showed up from Zimbabwe have tried positive for the Omicron variation of COVID-19.

''It will require some investment to recuperate and as indicated by convention we will hold them under watch for quite a long time and they will be delivered subsequent to recuperating completely,'' said Maleque.

''We are doing contact following and tried every individual who had approached them,'' he added.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board, on December 6, had expanded the national ladies' group disconnection after the two individuals had tried positive for COVID-19 subsequent to getting back from Zimbabwe following their interest in the ICC Women's World Cup 2022 qualifiers.

The individuals from the ladies' group needed to go through the quarantine after the Bangladesh government forced new standards on explorers coming from the African country, where a few instances of Omicron variation of the Covid-19 had been recognized.

BCB's ladies' wing administrator Nadel Chowdhury affirmed to CricketMazza11 that the ladies' group, who were prior expected to leave the group lodging on December 6, in the wake of finishing their required five-day quarantine will currently need to finish a 14-day quarantine.
