Kane Williamson will miss the third T20I against India in Napier to go to a coordinated clinical arrangement, New Zealand Cricket have said.
In Williamson's nonappearance, Tim Southee will step in as the skipper for Tuesday's down. Mark Chapman has likewise been called up.
"Kane's been attempting to get this booked in for some time now, yet sadly it hasn't had the option to squeeze into our timetable, lead trainer Gary Stead said. "The wellbeing and prosperity of our players and staff is central, and we anticipate seeing him in Auckland." Stead likewise explained that the clinical arrangement isn't to do with Williamson's elbow which has disturbed him from time to time.
"He's a quality player who offers great flexibility in the request," Stead said of Chapman.
Williamson will join the ODI crew in front of the series opener on Friday in Auckland.
